The asphalting process

Varieties of asphalt mixtures:

At such a high heating temperature, asphalt does not lose its characteristics, and as a result, a durable asphalt concrete coating is obtained. This type of mixture has low physico-mechanical properties and is used in carrying out pit repairs of roads, as well as in asphalting small areas and footpaths. Cold asphalt can be laid even at sub-zero temperatures, as the mixture itself does not need to be heated, due to special solvents that dilute bitumen.
Cast asphalt. This type is a type of hot asphalt concrete. It has high physical and mechanical characteristics and does not require sealing. Specialists heat the cast asphalt to 190-230 ° C, pour the mixture over the surface, after which, during the cooling process, it itself gains the necessary strength and density.
